- Description :
- This instrument was collected in the field by Antoinette and Diana Powell-Cotton, and is used for beating time during the "efundula" dances of the Kwanyama people. It is a pair of wooden rhythm sticks ("omwolo"), or claves, cut to roughly equal lengths, stripped of bark and rendered smooth. One of the sticks is made of denser wood.
