This instrument is associated with the Royal Military School of Music. It is an "Aida" trumpet, as it was known before the standardized "Coronation" or fanfare trumpets, made of silver-plated brass in two sections (valve section and bell section) joined through a ligature screw joint, with three piston valves. The valves are bottom-sprung, with metal guides and cork bumpers. The valve tuning slides have two pulling knobs. The mouthpiece receiver has a ligature screw ferrule with an extra bit. Nominal pitch: B-flat.
