Double-coiled, keyed trumpet made entirely of brass, with a straight graduated crook slide for key alteration.
Five flat, round-cover keys mounted in saddles, with flat springs attached to key touches. Cylindrical bore. Brass mouthpiece. It is
believed that this is the model of the true "Regent's Bugle" invented in 1815 by Johann Georg Schmidt, then solo trumpet in the Prince
Regent’s private band. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection, and so far, it is the only recorded example of
this type.
